According to “Air Force Times”, near the beginning of February, the American press had gained information about the Jordan Drone Strike on military base “Tower 22”. During this horrible event, 3 US military soldiers had been killed while 22 others had been injured. The reasons for this attack are still unknown, but our government is working towards an answer. The main question is, how does this affect the students of Rocky?
With the thought of war on the bend with the past events, how are the students of Rocky reacting to this information. Evan McCall, Freshman, said, “I haven’t heard about it, though I have heard about drone strikes in general.” Some of Rocky students feel disconnected from the world.
A few other students said that they haven’t and will continue to not put any interest into world events like these, making it apparent that Rocky students don’t care about world events like these. Dani Koenig, Freshmen, states, “I don’t personally care about these types of events, but I could see how the thought of a possible war or conflict could scare others.”
