On October 15, 2025, students at Rocky High School took the PSAT, a key standardized test that prepares them for the SAT and opens the door to scholarship opportunities. Throughout the morning, classrooms were filled with focused test-takers as teachers and staff ensured a smooth testing experience. In the weeks leading up to the exam, teachers provided study materials and guidance to help students feel confident and ready.
“The school really made an effort to prepare them,” said Britni Peterson, a sophomore parent. “My daughter felt supported and knew what to expect on test day.”
For many students, the PSAT was both a challenge and a learning opportunity. “It was definitely tough,” said sophomore Allison Christensen, “but it helped me figure out what I need to work on before taking the SAT next year and what strategies worked for me.”
Some of the most common sources of help were pre-quizzes, AI study tools, books, and online articles, all of which students used to prepare for the test.
The PSAT serves as an important steppingstone in college preparation, giving students insight into their academic strengths and areas for improvement. With the test behind them, Rocky High students are one step closer to achieving their college goals
