Rocky’s musical theatre department put together a smash hit this week with their production of the Adams Family. It was an absolute joy to watch and kept viewers engaged the whole way through. If Addams family ever seemed like an uninteresting story, this production will chase away any doubts to be had. The actors outshone themselves. Demonstrating incredible vocal capabilities and amazing acting. Particularly impressive was the set design. During the production, the story was portrayed wonderfully. And when the sound board went out because of a spontaneous computer software update, the actor’s improv kept the audience engaged and in the story. The actor playing Gomez, Tommy Milton’s grandmother, flew in from California to see the production. When asked about her experiences watching The Adams Family, she said, “It’s got some sad parts and funny parts. It’s a very fun play.” This was a performance that the department ought to be very proud of.
The performances started with the classic Adams Family theme with the signature snapping sound effects and continued telling the story of two completely opposite families bonding together over the relationship shared by their kids. It also drove home some very important lessons about honesty with oneself and with others and the true value of a family. While it appears more morbid in nature at first glance, it was very entertaining and hilarious throughout the whole story. The actors were very expressive according to their characters and did their best to express the emotions and thoughts of their characters. In which they very much succeeded. The tech crew should also not go unmentioned. Because of their efforts, they were able to get the sound board working again mid-performance to make it work out for the actors on stage.

I think this is a great article. I like that they added the part where the sound board went out, so they had to do it without sound for a bit. Also, it was really cool that they had a quote from one of the actors grandma. This play was very good.
