Students at Rocky Mountain High School generally play games on their phones during breaks during the school day. Students would play a game called “Clash Royale,” a game that was popular earlier this month. But lately, a new game has taken the title of the most popular game at Rocky Mountain High School, and that is Geometry Dash. Geometry Dash is a basic platformer game with levels you can complete. Levels can be beat by jumping over spikes and other obstacles that can be in the way of the player. There’s customization for the cube player you play as, several levels to play, and different soundtracks in each one.

But this old rising game became popular somehow, and the reason behind this is Jynxzi. Jynxzi is a popular steamer, and is known around the world, let alone Rocky Mountain High School. There has been a pattern with this popular streamer. When he played “Clash Royale,” so did the rest of Rocky Mountain High School. When he started playing “Geometry Dash”, so did the rest of Rocky Mountain High School. “I started playing Geometry Dash from Jynxzi.” Said Christian Williams, a Freshman at Rocky Mountain High School.

Evidently, some have been playing Geometry Dash for years and years for other reasons besides streamers. “I started playing because the rest of my family did.” Said Tillman Matsumori a Junior at Rocky Mountain High School “I was just going through the app store and found it when I was little.” Said John Harrison, a Freshman at Rocky Mountain. “I started playing because the rest of my family did.” Said Tillman Matsumori, a Junior at Rocky Mountain High School. “When I was 12 I got Geometry Dash because of my sister.” Said Zeke Randal, a sophomore at Rocky Mountain High School

In the end, it seems that the reason teenagers at Rocky Mountain High School play Geometry Dash is because they have played it before, while others started to play the game because of the popular streamer “Jynxzi.” Some students still play other mobile games, but most play Geometry Dash.
