Spooktacular Movie Marathon

Movies are an icon during Halloween, over the short 31 days that make up the beloved month of October. During these 31 days scary movies obsess and shock the public of America thrillers dark horrors gore and witchcraft. There are countless types of horror movies of which each have their own charm and scare, from old thrillers to new horrors. One of the biggest conflicts around this season is what to watch with such limited time. Some of these movies are the following: “Terrifier”, “Scream”, and “The Nun.”

Each of these movies are super scary in their own way, for example, the movie “Scary Stories” is all about how a haunted house caused hundreds of deaths over a very long period of time. With various aggressive matters. I interviewed and studied 30 of the best horror movies to watch in preparation for Halloween.

As October 1st hits the calendar a good first movie to start with is a nightmare before Christmas. Most say it has a great mix of Christmas and Halloween and it currently has 8 stars on almost everything. The next few movies for the first week are “The Black Phone”, “The Midnight Club”, “Ready or Not”, “Hush”, “Halloween” and “Terrifier”. Each of these movies are entertaining and thrilling, they keep you on your toes with exciting twists and scares. They are also each 5 stars and up.

The next week of October there are a lot more thrillers and fun horrors. On October 8th watching “Child’s play” a funny and chaotic movie all about a robot doll on a rampage would be a great way to move on to the next week. To continue with fun exhilarating thrillers “Get Out” “Tucker & Dale vs Evil” “Nope”, “Scream”, “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” and “Terrifier 2” are all scary and funny in their own ways.

As The 15th of October rolls around this spooky Halloween week is all about scary and iconic films such as the “Conjuring”. The “Conjuring” is a horrific 8 out of 10 horror and mystery film all about supernatural ghosts and phantoms. This movie has many people on their toes and absolutely stunned after. To continue with horror movies for Halloween some iconic films are “The Exorcist”, “Evil Dead Rises”, “The Changing”, “The Sixth Sense”, “Hereditary” and the “Babadook”. Each of these movies are top rated and are considered very scary by a lot of people.

After such a scary week, this whole next week is full of throwback movies like “Son of Frankenstein” are what the next week is all about. The 23rd of October would start with “Hocus Pocus” then “The Adams family”, “Dracula”, “Curse of a Demon”, “the Haunting” and “Uninvited”.

For the very last week of October all the movies are confusing and will leave you with a shock, for example movies like “The Blair Witch Project”. This film was made with an extremely small budget and created an interesting creepy environment in the short few hours that is “the Blair witch Project”. The last movies for the rest of October consist of “Lost Highway”, “Annihilation”, “Mandy”, “The Empty Man” and “The Wailing”. The very last day of October is the iconic comedy movie “Hubie Halloween” this movie has lots of ups and downs yet its calm enough to make a strong finish to this list of Halloween movies.
