Hailey Mejia is a senior here at Rocky Mountain. She has been apart of the Rocky Roar for the last four years. Coming into her fourth year she was selected to be head editor and chief. Mejia has written some of the best articles for the Rocky Roar. Not only was she apart of the Rocky Roar but she was also on Rocky’s cheer team. She was a notable flyer and  described as a positive teammate, and a great senior.

Mejia not only excelled at cheer, but in the classroom as well. She has taken multiple AP classes, and colleges classes. She takes pride in balancing school and her sport. Hailey is very bright and giving. Oliva Simms, a former journalist said, “Hailey was an incredible editor. She was very kind, helpful, and encouraging.”  Hailey was her editor spring of 2025. The freshman credits her success in the class to her editor, Hailey.

Mejia has made a big impact on our newspaper. Mrs. Strong the journalism teacher said, “She helped shape the program from the beginning. She stuck around and helped start the podcasts. She has been a steady and supportive influence on the reporters ever since.”  We are so excited to see the great things Hailey will do after high school. We wish her the best of luck.
