Bogus basin has been part of the valley for many years since it opened in 1942. It has been one of the most popular ski resorts in Idaho. But some people wonder is it worth it to buy a season pass?

Prices of the season pass range from anywhere to $519-$119, this is not a cheap price. The cost of the day pass at bogus basin is around $69 for a day pass and $34 for a night pass. Another option that many people choose to do is to get a night pass. Night skiing starts at 6pm and ends at 10pm, the conditions might not be as good, and it may be icier.

But with a season pass you can go in the morning, in the middle of the day, or at night. Sophomore Kole Jakobsen said “Buying a season pass is so worth it! Its so nice to be able to go at any point of the day and go skiing.”

Some people say it’s not worth it to buy it because they don’t go that much, they might go 3 times a year or even once. But if you go a lot then it will eventually be worth it and be cheaper than buying a day pass every time you go. A sophomore who didn’t want their name said, “Buying a season pass is not worth it because I only go like twice a year so it would be way to expensive.”

As the season gets closer and closer it makes you really wonder if a season pass is worth it. Bogus plans to open next week on thanksgiving if they get enough snow. The time is now for you to decide what you want to do this season. If it’s a season pass or a night pass or even a day pass it all up to what suits you best.
