Food trucks out on the street by a park.

Food trucks, who doesn’t love them? From all the different types of food you could get to clinch that well needed spot of hunger. Well, what do people here at rocky think about them? I have asked three students, who all gave different views at each interview.

Amelie Dobler, an 11th grader, said “I like them, they give me excitement.” When asked about the lines and prices, she stated, “It’s annoying, but we can’t do much about it.” She explained that Juniors hate having the Freshman be able to get out advisory for that day. At the end of each interview, when asked what types of food trucks they would like to see, the answers vary. Dobler commented she would like to see more savory food trucks, like pizza. She also asked if they could add more ‘lunch related’ trucks.

Lilian Parker, another junior, stated, “It offers a great variety of food, and it is very accessible to people with no cars.” However, when asked about the lines she said, “They curve halfway through, and it’s very confusing.” Parker went super in depth with each question, saying how she understands why they up the prices but also knows some people can’t afford them. She commented she would love to be able to buy from a taco food truck or a small business truck.

Emily Reed, a junior who gave a different view. When asked if they like it, they said “10/10, It is a very nice break at lunch for everyone.” When asked if they have ever bought anything from the trucks, they explained “Yes, I always check what type of food is being sold, if I like it, I’ll wait through the line.” When asked the last question, what food trucks they’d like to see, Reed commented they would want baked potatoes or more diverse sweet food.

Overall, it seems people like the fun Friday food trucks, it’s just the lines and prices are the downside to it. If we keep having food trucks, everyone would love it if they asked what food trucks everyone would want to show up and buy from.

I think that this post is very helpful and offers useful insight about fun Friday food trucks (Although I disagree about freshman not being allowed to leave at lunch, Sorry Amelie!)
