Book Title: The Summer I Turned Pretty
Author: Jenny Han
Book Review
The Summer I Turned Pretty is a young adult romance book that follows the guidelines but still manages to feel fresh with a well-written outline and just enough drama to keep the book interesting and the readers reading. The book is about a teenage girl named Belly who deserves some happiness. The book starts off in a weird way but it’s very predictable later on in the book. It quickly changes into something rich and sweet and far more significant than some of the parts.
I think the plot/concept is intriguing and unique because it’s a love story but written uniquely for teens and young adults to understand. It shows a lot of concepts
In my opinion I love the book The Summer I Turned Pretty but it is a book meant for teenagers and adults. If you are younger, I would recommend waiting to read it so you are old enough to understand the concept and layout of the book. If you understand more than most preteens you can try reading it. The Summer I Turned Pretty is a really nice book and enjoyable to read and hear the story on how they spend their family and how much they have grown over the years. The Summer I Turned Pretty is great for people in relationships or who like someone because it helps you understand what it’s like to spend the whole summer with them and gives idea on what you could do.
Reading The Summer I Turned Pretty can help young adults understand not all thing work out and you can’t force relationships to work out. Spending summer with someone you have a crush on is all fun and everything but it’s not about spending time with someone you like, it’s about having fun with the family and everyone around you.
