Are you a student who enjoys reading as a way to be taken to another world? Are you someone who enjoys reading about another person’s life? Are you looking for a way to fill up your bookshelf with good books for a good deal? Well then, the Rocky Mountain book fair is for you. Open from October 3rd to October 14th, students still have one week to participate in the incredible deals of Rocky’s book fair.
It provides variety in many genres that can be found in places like a public library, but this isn’t all. Rocky is offering a buy 1 get 1 free deal for the entirety of the book fair. This deal is not present at most book fairs because most book fairs are a way for the school to host a fundraiser. But that is not the goal of the Rocky Mountain Library. Instead, Rocky chooses to host a buy 1 get 1 free deal just so the students can have their favorite 2 books for the price of 1. The Librarian of Rocky Mountain, Christie Nichols said this when asked about how successful the book fair is. “We don’t do it as a fundraiser so it is really just for fun, so any books that we sell into the hands of kids is a success for us.”
Rocky’s book fair offers many options for your favorite fantasy books such as Brandon Sanderson’s Skyward book, dystopian books like the full Hunger Games series plus the prequel “Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes,” and many non-fiction books like the “Who Is” books. These options are provided by a company that helps fund school book fairs. Christie Nichols had something to say about this. “The company that we use for book fairs offers two models. So, one is like a traditional book fair where we make a profit and would do it like a fundraiser, or the other option is buy 1 get 1 free.”
Rocky Mountain has had this book fair going for many years now, usually hosting it during Parent Teacher Conference week so that students can look through the books while their parents talk with their teachers. This annual tradition is loved by many students and is often a success because of its great deals. Most books are under $15 with only the most popular going above. But don’t forget the buy 1 get 1 free, buy 2 Hunger Games books and get the whole series plus the prequel. Many English teachers are also taking time out of their class periods to stop by the book fair.
So in conclusion, if you haven’t participated in these extraordinary deals, go now! You have less than a week to expand your bookshelf with the books so generously displayed. Invite your siblings, invite your friends. Don’t feel the regret you will surely get if you don’t go now. These books will take you into a whole new world, a world of fantasy, mystery, and dystopia. Stop by during Parent Teacher Conference or during school hours and enjoy these great deals.
