Ella Navarro, One of Rocky’s Best
Ella Navarro is a sophomore here at Rocky Mountain high school on the girl’s varsity soccer team. She has been on the team her Freshman and Sophomore year and is thriving and getting better every day. The varsity team has had an amazing season winning most of their games. Ella has been playing soccer since she was 3 years old and has always had a love for the sport. She plans to continue playing through high school and even through college and wants to be involved in soccer however she can throughout her life.
After interviewing a couple of her teammates, we have learned that Navarro is always cheering on others and is an amazing teammate while playing and even while off the field. Teagan weigt has stated, “Ella is super fun and very positive, she is always cheering everyone on and bringing the energy up on the team.” Navarro is super supportive of her team whether they are playing in a game or even just at practice. She makes the sport worth her time and more fun than just something she spends her day doing after school and even on the weekends.
Navarro says, “I love going to new places and meeting new people, I love how my team makes me even more excited to go to practice.” The relationships and memories she has made through soccer will last a lifetime, and the girls will always have a special connection through the sport they all love and do every day. Weigt states, “I love playing with Ella she is one of the best teammates on and off the field.” Navarro is a super kind teammate that everyone enjoys playing with. She always has good sportsman ship and keeping the spirits high on her team.
Navarro hopes to play soccer for the rest of high school and even through college. Soccer is something Navarro may keep in her life forever. She has been playing for so long it is something that is apart of her that she has gotten really good at. Weigt says, “I think Ella has a future with soccer, she is very technical and fast and has a lot of key factors for a good soccer player and I think she could go far.” Navarro also just wants to be involved throughout her life as soccer is her favorite sport. “I hope to continue being involved with soccer for the rest of my life.” States Navarro.
Navarro has the right mindset as she finds the good in every practice and game. She states, “I love building new friendships that actually make me excited to go to practice.” Having the right mindset is the first step in becoming a better player. Weigt says, “Ella is always bringing up the energy on the team and making it more fun.” The kindness Ella shows towards others makes them all feel better and more connected with the sport and the team they are playing on.
