His songs aren’t just relatable but have the perfect mix of a sad and upbeat mood. The tracks are undeniably catchy and his hit song, “Back to Friends,” has already won a “Best Alternative” award at the MTVs. Not to mention the album hit Top 10 on the Billboard 200 this month. He has been able to make his music stand out from other new releases in this new album with his yearning, lyrical style of songwriting. Teens from all over the world have been absorbed by his music and Sombr has always easily connected with his fans through his music. “I Barely Know Her” has set a new standard for music. Ivy Neilson shared her thoughts on Sombr’s connection to his audience. “I think he’s come out with lots of relatable songs for me and many teenagers, so he has become a very appealing artist to the younger generation,” Neilson said.
