His optimism reflected the team’s belief in their capabilities. Similarly, Junior Tyler Elison remarked, “I think it is going to be a good game I think it’s going to be very close” and also stated, “I do think we are going to win”​​. Both players showcased a strong sense of confidence heading into the match.

The game commenced at 7:30 PM, with the first quarter ending in favor of Timberline, 4 to 2​. The second quarter saw Timberline extend their lead, finishing 9 to 5, with Rocky scoring three more goals and Timberline adding five​​. By the third quarter, Rocky Mountain had narrowed the gap, scoring four goals to Timberline’s two, bringing the score to 11 to 9 in Timberline’s favor​​. We feel like we are a better team, we just had some balls that didn’t go our way, had some calls that didn’t go our way. We didn’t play our best but they’re a good team so are we”​​.
