Host: Jimmy Carter once said, “The way I see it, there’s nothing to fear. If there is life out there, we’re still all part of the same master plan. God’s hands are big enough to hold us both.” This was said in an off-the-record conversation turned article with Scott Simon of NPR regarding everyone’s favorite controversy: Aliens. The late former president believed potential life could have been on Earth then. But what about now? Many citizens all over the world have different views on aliens. Are they real? Is Earth going to be invaded?
This is Peyton Briggs and Rachel Crossman with Rock the Mic Podcast, and today we will be talking about one of the most controversial yet famous conspiracy theories: Aliens.

Conspiracy theories are a tale as old as time and continue to plague society today. Now, as we enter into 2025, is this the year where some of the conspiracy theories become our reality? Alien invasions have become a pressing matter in the minds of many, so today let’s dive deep into the uncertain future we may soon face. Without any factual evidence currently in existence, our Rock the Mic Jounalists have taken matters into their own hands as they interviewed a Rocky Mountain High teacher, and special guest. Starting off, Journalist Sam Wilson interviewed Rockys very own- Mrs. McClintock.
Wilson: All right, so on the topic of conspiracy theories, what are your thoughts about aliens?
McClintock: Um, I think that. I don’t know if I believe in aliens, as far as like green men that come to visit Earth, but I do think that the universe is too big for something else to not be living in the world. I don’t know if they’ve contacted us or been close, but I do think that there’s some other species that lives in the universe.
Wilson: And so do you think that there’s any chance, like, there would be, like, an alien invasion, like sometime in the future?
McClintock :I think that a lot of times, people like to think that they’re the only people around, and they like to push their ideas on others so if an alien invasion was to happen I think it’d be based on power and resources. But I don’t think it will happen in our lifetimes.
Host: Now we go to our special guest interview with journalist Liam Sawyer and litigation consultant Shane Sawyer.
Sawyer: Do you have any conspiracy theories involving space or extraterrestrial life?
Shane: Well, I think that would also depend on what you considered a conspiracy theory. I do the logical side of my brain certainly lends me to think that extraterrestrial life is most likely in the universe. I think if our perception of space and reality is is accurate and depicted by our scientific principles, then there the likelihood of having extraterrestrial life in the universe is extremely high.
Shane: Do you have any do you have any idea of what you think these aliens, or extra extraterrestrial life might look like?
Shane: I mean, just obviously, what I’ve you know, most of the encounter interviews, you know, the most common alien is the is the gray, which kind of has a humanoid, sort of a evolved humanoid form to it. I think that’s the most likely way that we’ve interacted with extraterrestrials.
Sawyer: And my final question is, do you think the aliens will invade Earth during your life.
Shane: I do not think that aliens will invade Earth. My perception of life, I probably ascribe to more of a theory that even aliens, if they are, are likely an evolved version or an evolved version of ourselves in time. I think, I think the idea of linear time is probably what makes us think that they couldn’t be us. But I think that’s the the that is sort of a theory I ascribe to is that the aliens are most likely not going to invade us because they are us.
Host: As we’ve explored today, the question of extraterrestrial life continues to spark debate, fascination, and even a bit of skepticism. From government secrecy to real peoples’ opinions, the idea that we may not be alone in the universe continues to remain an intriguing conspiracy theory of our time. Whether you’re a firm believer or a skeptic, our curiosity about aliens isn’t going away anytime soon. Thanks for tuning in, and until next time, stay curious!
