Playing an entire season alongside teammates who feel more like brothers is something every athlete dreams of, and for one standout player at Rocky, that dream became a reality. Reflecting on the past season, he shared just how much the experience meant to him.
“This past season was awesome because I got to play the whole season with a bunch of the guys that I love—my brothers,” he said. “Rocky has a winning tradition, so just being a part of it is awesome. Carrying on that tradition, not only for my own legacy but for my little brother as well, is something special.” But what keeps an athlete motivated year after year, pushing through the grind of practices, workouts, and games? For him, it all comes down to the history and expectations that come with wearing the Rocky uniform.“ Rocky’s winning tradition is a huge motivator,” he said. “Just being part of something bigger than myself keeps me going. It’s about continuing that legacy and making sure I leave my mark on the program.”
Every great player has their own approach to getting ready for the game, and he is no exception. His routine is a mix of mental preparation, faith, and personal tradition. “Personally, I watch a lot of film before games,” he explained. “Then, after our team prayer, I say a prayer by myself before we run out. And I always make sure I run out last—it’s kind of my little routine.” This methodical approach has clearly paid off, as he’s continued to dominate on the field. With his strong performance on the field, it’s no surprise that he’s been receiving a lot of attention from college programs, as he has over 25 offers. The offers have been rolling in, a testament to both his skill and dedication to the game. “I’ve been super blessed,” he said, acknowledging the opportunities ahead.
As he looks forward to the next chapter of his football journey, one thing is clear—his love for the game, his teammates, and the Rocky football tradition will always be a driving force in his career.
