On Thursday, January 30th, Rockys varsity wrestling suffered a tough loss against the Eagle Mustangs. This meet was a battle for all the wrestlers involved, but it sadly ended with a score of 39 to 42. Rocky’s wrestlers fought hard but got caught up in the end with being able to get pins.
Although they lost, it was a battle to the end for the wrestlers. One of them is Grant Brown, he unexpectedly got put up a weight class and was wrestling varsity last minute.
After his duel he was asked how he felt about his performance and he stated, “For getting bumped up a weight class and bumped to varsity I feel I did pretty good although I got caught up at the end.”
Rocky wrestling has had a hard season with their record sitting at 1-5-1.
