Former Rocky Mountain tight end CJ Jacobsen has entered the college football transfer portal.
Jacobsen was a 3-star recruit coming out of Rocky, graduating in the spring of 2023. During his final season at Rocky, Jacobsen tallied over 500 yards and 8 scores, also playing basketball for Rocky. He was named the 2nd highest rated football recruit in Idaho and the 32nd tight end in the nation.
Jacobsen would commit to the University of Utah’s football program following the program’s second straight Pac-12 Championship win but was immediately buried in a depth chart that included perennial All-American Brant Kuithe, former Auburn tight end Landen King, and Australian phenom Thomas Yassmin.
Having not seen the field in his two years in Salt Lake City, Jacobsen enters the transfer portal looking for a change of scenery and an opportunity for more playing time.

CJ made the right decision to enter the transfer portal and play for a new team that suits him. I like this article because it talks about how athletes that went to rocky are doing now.

CJ Jacobsen will be a huge loss to the University of Utah and they don’t even know it! I believe he will succeed at the tight end position at any school that would be lucky to have him!

I am glad Rocky covers these topics. CJ has achieved a lot since his graduation in 2023. And it’s cool that even though he graduated in 2023 he is still talked about. This is some good stuff! It would be nice if you guys would keep doing this.

I think that this article is really cool because it follows up on the story of somebody that many people may have forgotten about. I also like that is has some good facts rather than just opinions and stuff.

CJ Jacobsen will be missed at the university of Utah. He will prove to be an asset to whatever new school he commits to. Jacobsen’s two years at the U were very promising but were not very productive as the University of Utah has some of the best tight ends in the nation.
