Many crazy things can happen in the icy cold snow. A lot of people from Rocky Mountain can attest to this. This article will have many funny stories of what has happened to a few of our Rocky students and teachers.
Owen weatherly (Sophomore) said, “I once fell off a cliff skiing in the backcountry, and didn’t see the cliff, it was a 15 foot drop and I slid off. It didn’t hurt much though because of how much powder was at the bottom.” Luckily, Owen was with his older brother Parker. “It was scary, I’m glad it was only 15 feet though because if it was more that would have been bad”.
Even teachers have crazy stories, Mr. Bullock said “I snow mobile off a 24 foot cliff and landed”. Somehow he didn’t get hurt, nor did the snowmobile. Right after he landed, he just kept riding along like nothing ever happened. Sounds like something out of Tom Cruz action movie!
Many snow mobile accidents happen every year though, so be careful… even if you are Tom Cruz.
Calvin Stuart (Senior) said, “I was sitting on the ground strapping in my snowboard, and I heard someone screaming. I looked up and their was a guy running full speed into me. He landed on my lap.” Calvin was okay, but the other guy left wobbling away without saying anything. According to Calvin the man had boogers and blood all over his face with nothing covering from the harsh cold snowy winds. “It honestly was just a really funny and awkward thing to happen”, said Calvin.
Brynn Wolff (Sophomore) said, “I was ice skating at the village with a few friends and we were all really bad. I was talking to people and then all the sudden one of my friends start screaming. He was skating right towards me, he body slammed into me and fell on the ground face first. When he looked up his whole mouth was bloody and a lot of people were staring at us laughing.” Ice skating is probably one of the biggest fails that can happen to you during winter. So don’t be afraid to hold onto the wall.
There are many more funny winter fail stories, you just got to ask people about their fails. Weather it’s a sledding, ice skating, snowmobile, skiing, snowboarding, or ice fishing accident, just be careful and have fun! Have you ever had a biggest winter fail?
